Cinemalogy is one of the practical tools that allow you to use a movie to analyze a person’s mental activity. The purpose of cinemalogy is not to teach or critically analyze the director’s work, but to use the film to analyze the people who are experiencing these images: the viewer emotionally participates in what identifies him, thereby making it possible for the subject to realize their strong and weak strategies of behavior in life. Such an analysis allows us to understand whether this is exactly his strategy or something learned long ago in childhood. Having realized the reasons for losing actions, a person gets a greater choice of strategies to achieve the desired result.
For cinemalogy, a film that has received a special response from the majority is usually taken (criteria: Oscar winner, Cannes prize, etc.), because the tapes recognized by society allow you to take a cross-section to understand the logic of the collective unconscious and the vector of its development, to see the prevailing stereotypes. If you use cinemalogy for individual practice, it gives exactly the same answers within a single individual. And, of course, the presence of an Oscar is not a mandatory criterion.
This is an effective, fun way to delve into your unconscious and understand what helps your personality and what hinders it.
